Super Silky Summer Legs

Next time you are feeling down, about to binge, going on a date, or just need to pamper yourself, do this. I just did it and I can not stop rubbing my legs together. It feels like I paid for that over expensive pedicure at the salon.

Ingredients

1 1/4 C Sugar (Yup, plain, good-ol’ white sugar)

1/2 C Oil (I used olive oil, but you can use any oil, coconut oil, baby oil, canola oil)

3 tablespoons Citrus (Lime or lemon)

1-2 Razors

Mix everything together in a bowl.

Soak your legs in the tub for 5 minutes.

Shave your legs.

Rub some of this mixture all over your legs. The sugar will help rub off all dirt and dead skin. Rub, rub. Feels like a mini massage.

Rinse it all off, shave again. I would use one razor per leg if you have two. You will be rinsing this razor a lot. I was GROSSED out by the amount of dead skin I was “shaving” off. It was insane! Trust me, you’ll see.

Rub your legs again! Second coat of wax, oh yeah.

Rinse off! You can use a mild soap to help get some of the oil off.

Lotion your legs up, and feel the silkiness!

Now this isn’t just geared to ladies…. guys, if you want to get lucky, I suggest you offer to rub your ladies’ feet with this mix too. It feels awesome, and when you get lucky, you will be thanking me that her rough grandma feet aren’t cutting your legs, if ya know what I’m saying… hahaha.

I have silky arm pits too!!

Try it, I swear, You will want everyone to touch your legs.

i just did this and after about 2 or so months of not shaving this is the most incredible thing i have ever done its like my legs arent even legs they’re some sort of ancient fabric made only for powerful pharoahs

i highly suggest this even if you don’t shave use it on your feet or shave your pits or your pubes with it because you will feel like a fucking deity

I think the problem I have with most literature classes is that if a book needs a teacher to explain to you why it’s a good book, and you can’t judge that it’s a good book on its own merit, then it’s a shitty book.

Regardless of the power of the social commentary it provides, the insight into the human mind or the nature of ethics and what not, if it fails the very basic test of “is it interesting and readable?” then it fails its purpose at being a book.

A good book doesn’t owe its reader an easy, hilariously entertaining read. Some of the best books require thought and yes, effort from the reader to yield much of their literary merit. Frequently the only place where people exert that effort is in a classroom, but a reader alone without the help of a teacher can exert that same effort to derive meaning from a book if they so choose. That today’s readers are often too lazy to make such an effort on their own hardly means that the book has “failed at being a book.” It’s simply a different kind of book, a breed apart from character- and plot-based novels of today that easily draw their readers in.

Don’t call works of literature “shitty books.” Just admit that they’re not your style because they aren’t always easily readable and their interesting nature doesn’t always come across on a surface read. Just because YOU don’t like something doesn’t mean it’s shitty.

In celebration of the AVPSY release, I kinda felt like remembering this moment.

Comic-Con 2010 - my friends and I were just relaxing in a hallway, when one of them pointed out a guy with awesome purple pants…I turn to see the (then) tell-tale Darren fro wandering toward us.

I shoved my camera into my friend’s hand and quickly walked over to ask him for a picture. He seemed super excited that someone in the middle of Comic-Con knew who he was, even though he was there specifically for a Harry Potter panel the next day (AVPS had JUST been released)

After the picture was taken, he stayed and talked for a little while, because Joey had been sucked into Hall H, so he was just wandering anyway. We joked about Joey hopefully not getting stabbed in the eye while he was in there (it had happened to someone the day before), and he was just a generally great person. It just felt like talking to a friend, and I hope he never loses that quality.

The best part was when he said he was afraid that the Harry Potter panel would be empty, because it was the same time as the Glee panel. I will never get over the irony.

I went to that Harry Potter panel the next day, it was completely PACKED, and EVERYONE knew all of the words to ‘Gotta Get Back to Hogwarts’

I mean, can we just talk about how this parallels the actual education system? Where they’re so concerned about teaching us things like logarithms and graphing that we don’t know shit about what’s actually out there in the adult world, like doing taxes or writing checks or anything? I mean, “It is the view of the Ministry that a theoretical knowledge will be sufficient to get you through your examinations, which after all, is what school is all about.” School children are often under the impression that getting A’s in all their classes ensures a successful future, but really, it’s so ignorant because the real world isn’t just one big question-and-answer paper. There is so much more to the world than being able to give back information like some kind of super-computer, and brainwashing children into thinking that theory is key is just going to lead to a bunch of children falling flat on their faces when they’re pushed into the adult world and feel as if everything new they try to do is wrong because it wasn’t taught to them step-by-step. I just really love Harry’s line, “And how is theory supposed to prepare us for what’s out there?” because I feel as if sometimes we just learn things for the sake of knowing them, despite whether it is actually useful. Yes, school is important, and getting bad grades isn’t a good way to start your future, but it’s so much more than that, you see.

Why the fucking fuck does every fucking person who fucking bashes school always fucking bash math? Math is fucking IMPORTANT. It’s shit like reading ‘classics’ that are so fucking outdated (Great Expectations, Grapes of Wrath, Hamlet, etc) that have no fucking place in the education system.

By referring to math in any way as unimportant, you’ve fucking rendered the entirety of your argument complete bullshit that isn’t worthy of being read.

I’m sorry to drag this up out of the depths of your blog, but I had to respond. Honestly, I can’t imagine a time in the future where I’m going to need to graph a polynomial function or use logarithms for anything at all. No one is denying that math is absolutely essentially to many, if not all, of the technologies that make our lives as awesome as they are. Most people realize that we owe a great deal of debt and gratitude to the folks like you who love and understand math and enjoy using it to make the world the place it is today. Quite obviously, we would not be where we are today without it.

What people ARE saying is that high-level math is not necessary or practical for a great proportion of the population. I will admit that even basic algebra and things like the Pythagorean theorem come in handy in my daily life, but once you get above that, it starts losing real-world applications for the average citizen. Can derivatives and integrals (and other, even higher-level math that I know nothing at all about) have real-world applications? Of course. Will those applications be things that the average person, waitresses or secretaries or car salesmen or bus drivers or stock brokers or factory workers or elementary school teachers or telemarketers… etc… would find useful? In all likelihood, no. That is why people tend to come down hard on math: if you’re not going into a math-heavy field, higher-level math just doesn’t have a huge pay-off beyond your own mental enrichment. I don’t think anyone is saying that we don’t need to know how to perform basic operations or basic geometry, and if they ARE saying that, I think they’re crazy.

And be happy that I’m just going to ignore your assault on literature.
